"Great
Divide"
Our senior stud, "Great Divide", Luxford 03-1131A. At 7 years of age, he still is a
massive stud! We can't say enough about this ram and the continued impact he is making on the flock. He throws exciting lambs
that are correct & well balanced with a great pattern to them. They grow into powerful yearlings!
Great Divide"
sired our $8,500 stud buck that sold at the Nugget All American in Reno in '06 and sired our 3rd place, Class 2 ram at Reno
as well as our 4th and 6th place ewes at Reno that year. He also sired the Reserve Senior Champion Ram for Ansel at Reno in
2005. He is also the grandsire to "Mule Train", the ram we bred & sold at the National Suffolk Sale in Reno
in 2007 for $3,500 and to "Ticket to Ride", the "Burlington Northern" son that we sold for $2,000 during
Reno. He is also the grandsire to our Reserve Grand Champion Ram at the 2008 Nugget All American in Reno and to our GRAND
CHAMPION RAM at the Nugget All American in 2009 and is the sire to one of our other high placing yearling rams (3rd respectively)
and sired our 2nd place yearling ewe in class in 2008 at the same show. We have retained several daughters. Photo shows "Great
Divide" in extremely short fleece. He is a consistent breeder, settles every ewe the first time, every time and
we like his 2010 lambs just as well as we liked his first lamb crop in 2005. This buck is a true stud's stud.

"Great Divide"
At 7 years of age, Great Divide (or "Roy" as we affectionately
call him around the barn) is a proven stud ram siring champion quality offspring. His pedigree traces to some great sheep
of the past, including "Duke", the dam of "Blue Boy" and some of Ansel's great females. He measures 42"x45"
and tips the scales at 451 lbs. We are planning on putting Roy on the breeding docket for the 2010 breeding
season. His lambs are always of high quality, his daughters are wonderful mothers and his sons are powerful stud prospects.

"Great Divide" enjoying some February sunshine
in the high country. He is still producing some outstanding progeny for us in 2010! Photo taken Feb. 2010.

~ "YUKON", LUXFORD 07-1311~
Also
known as "YUKON JACK", This stud hails from Ansel's top stud & ewe line. Mass, size & scale,
pattern, pedigree, structural correctness and an extra shot of length are some of the things that this stud brings to
the table. He is a solid piece of genetic material. He has sired some very impressive progeny for us in his first and
second season of work for us. We have some very powerful yearling prospects in the show & sale pen and
it will be interesting to watch his 2010 lamb crop develop as well. Photo taken in mid February and shows 'Jack'
in his working clothes. He is a huge stud ram!

The Lost Photo Below: I recently found this photo
of "YUKON JACK" (Yukon) on the digital picture file on my old camera. It was dated May 08 so "Jack"
is 14 mos. of age in this photo. The photo must've been impaired in some way as I could not get it to download properly
for a full picture but one can see most of it. He has been an interesting breeding piece and has produced some
stellar lambs.

"Saddle Tramp"
Luxford 1256A, the 2006 addition to the stud pen.
This RR stud brings some interesting things to the table. He is thick made, upfronted & correct and hails from Ansel's
best stud ram and ewe family! His paternal grandsire is Gamble/Bracco 89, who was sired by "X-Centric", Gamble 9118. Used
to compliment the qualities exhibited by our "Great Divide" daughters, he was also bred to "Maverick" & "Barn BuRRner" daughters
as well. He has sired some fabulous lambs for us that are extremely long, correct, good boned and naturally thick. "Saddle
Tramp" sired our Reserve Grand Champion Ram at the '08 Nugget All American in Reno as well as our 3rd place, Class 3 yearling
ram. We lost "Tramp" this spring to poisonous plants consumption but his legacy will live on in the flock through his daughters.

Stud Ram Hall of Fame: includes influential
studs of the past in building our flock.
"Bridger Gold" ~ Our 1st true stud! Over a decade ago, he was 40 x 40
and tipped the scales at 450 lbs. A massive Pleasant Valley stud, he was rich in vintage Luxford & Jack Larsen bloodlines.
He changed our entire flock nearly overnight. His rams were big, "western cut", rugged individuals who were easy keepers,
even of grass and range conditions. His daughters were long lived (10+ years), big, thick, capacious ewes that were excellent
milkers & mothers and who fast became the replacements for our aging ewe base. "Bridger" himself lived until he was 8 1/2
years old, producing lambs until he passed. Bridger's blood still runs deep within our ewe base.
"Maverick", Pleasant
Valley 801, another massive stud steeped in Luxford bloodlines, was also one of the most eye appealing, stylish & prepotent
big rams we have ever seen. His offspring were consistent and powerful and brought us into the showring. Sons and daughters
alike were attention getters and many, many of them were champions or class winners for us and others who purchased them.
"Mav's" legacy lives on in the flock today, through many of his daughters and now granddaughters.
"Barn BuRRner",
Pleasant Valley 1016RR, champion ram at the 2003 Western Purebred Show and Sale, he was rich in Luxford, George Brothers and
Pleasant Valley breeding. We used him for 3 years, while building more "R" gene into the flock. He sired long, naturally
thick, growthy lambs built for wear and tear. Both sons and daughters fleshed well on grass. We retained several daughters
in the flock as brood ewes as they are consistently productive, exhibiting excellent maternal traits. "BuRRner" sired several
champions in Montana for us or others. He also produced our 1st Junior Ram at the Newell Ram Sale (stud show), South Dakota,
in 2004 and our 2nd Junior Ram at the Newell Ram Sale in 2005 as well as the high selling Suffolk female at the 2005 Northwest
Sheep Show & Sale, in Coeur d' Alene, Idaho.

"Lightning Bolt", Prairie Rose 5355-2
This ranch raised stud, a son of "Strictly
Business", Luxford 1234A and Prairie Rose 355, exemplifies the depth of quality that we are striving for in our breeding program.
This stud has the correctness, depth of body, spring of rib, natural thickness, balance and breed character that we like
to see in a stud buck. Unfortunately, Lightning broke his jaw in a freak accident, so we lost him in 2008. His legacy lives
on through his daughters that have been retained in the flock.

"LAWMAN"
Sired by "Gun Fighter", the Lost River stud that produced so many great sheep
for Pleasant Valley Suffolks. His grandsire is "Gun Slinger", the massive Wilt stud that was lead stud at Lost River Livestock
a few years ago. This buck stamped his lambs with natural thickness, spring of rib, depth of body and ease of fleshing.
We truly appreciate these qualities, especially in our brood ewes. We sold this stud in the summer of 2008 only to bring
in the new Luxford stud, Jack. LAWMAN is now at stud for Keevers in Illinois & we suspect that they will get a great bunch
of lambs out of him. Look for some of his yearling progeny at the shows and sales this year! They were popular as lambs
& we think that they'll be popular as yearlings! UPDATE*** "LAWMAN" sired our massive Grand Champion Ram at this year's Nugget
All American in Reno!!! We have retained several daughters of "LAWMAN" and half sisters to the champion ram. Look for their
progeny next year at the shows and sales!

FOR SALE: RR/NN Stud Ram We have just purchased 1/2 interest on a new stud buck, so after much discussion we have decided
to offer "Shanghai Noon" for sale. He is sired by Luxford 1230A, who is a "Chief Justice" son
& is dammed by a "Gun Fighter" daughter who is a half sister to "LAWMAN", the stud who sired our 2009
Grand Champion Ram @ Reno. This ram is a power packed combination of genetic potential. He is a proven
2 year old stud ram and has grown into quite a large ram with depth of body, decent bone, a good hip, great length
and overall thickness, not to mention classic Suffolk character with an outstanding head and earset that he passes on to his
offspring. He is a very strong breeder exhibiting excellent libido. He threw a super set of
lambs for us this past spring. We are keeping several daughters and have also decided to use one of his top buck
lambs on a select group of ewes. He is in great breeding condition & healthy. The reason we are selling
him is because we simply don't need 6 stud rams currently. Very reasonably priced. Transportation can be arranged to the Midwest Stud Ram Sale in Sedalia, Mo., and/or
possibly to the new Cross Roads of the West Sale in Toole, Utah. To our knowledge, he is the last Pleasant Valley
ram currently available since Barb and Dave have retired out of the sheep. We are working on getting a picture of him slick sheared.

~Pleasant Valley 1213 RR, "Shanghai Noon"~
This guy has grown into quite
a sizeable fellow. He is extremely easy going and a strong breeder. He maintained body condition while breeding
out on non-irrigated native fall pasture. He is currently FOR SALE. See his information to the
left fairly well.
Pictured here in early
December, 2009, "Shanghai" has grown into a large ram. He is a level, big topped, big
hipped ram with some excellent natural thickness and muscling. Good spring of rib and depth of body. This
guy has a great Suffolk head on him along with excellent Suffolk character. He has sired a super crop of
lambs for us in 2010. They are excellent footed, good boned, straight made lambs with excellent natural thickness. Although
he is for sale, we are keeping several ewe lambs out of this ram along with a couple of top buck lambs to use later this fall.
